Indian Artists Collectives at the Grosvenor Gallery (10 Jul - 1 Aug 2019)

The 'Four Leading Indian Artists' exhibition 1978 at India House

This new exhibition will present the work of the generation of Indian painters who settled in postwar Britain and formed the Indian Painters Collective (1963) - the first professional body of its kind in the UK.

A catalogue will accompany this exhibition tracing the IPC's seminal 1964 'Six Indian Painters' exhibition at India House and evolution into the Indian Artists UK (iauk) in 1978.

Archival material and original artworks by artists from these groups will be exhibited at the Grosvenor Gallery, from artists including:
